The organization actively promotes interaction among its members and the local non-Tamil community, and welcomes anyone who shares its mission to become its member and participate in its activities and programs.

Tamil Sneham's programs give importance to the needs of native-born or other young members of the immigrant Indian community to help them prepare for their transition into the highly competitive society in their adopted country.

In furtherance of its charitable mission, Tamil Sneham will partner with other charitable non-profit organizations in serving the poor, homeless and other disadvantaged of members of the local community. True to its name, which means friendship, Sneham believes that, through its many activities in the community, it can enrich the lives of those it serves and help impart in them a sense of service to others around them.
